If someone was to make a giant golden statue of Jesus, Moses or Mohammed sleeping, then put it in the middle of Washington, D.C., Jerusalem or Tehran, it might be kind of strange.  But for some reason, if you do it with Buddha, it totally becomes a tourist attraction.  Vientiane, Laos
