Kayaking through a limestone karst cave, Halong Bay, Vietnam. I am not good in caves. Being under thousands of tons of rock and soil, with the possibility – however remote – of the roof collapsing and burying us in water, terrified me. But reaching the remote bay, and paddling through silent blue water, was worth every second of fear and discomfort.
