These two are old friends from Northern England.  The one on the right works in a pub that the one on the left frequented.  One night, a couple weeks before this was taken, they got drunk together, and the one on the left proposed that they take a trip to Vietnam.  The next day, they remembered their agreement, thought about it, and decided to go through with it.  They booked tickets and, two weeks later, were cracking jokes and asking for rounds of beer…at 10 a.m.  They were the most vibrant, fun people on the boat.  

I just saw this photo.  I’m not sure if the younger women on the right understood anything that the women on the left said, but I like to think that, in some way, the younger ones were taking inspiration from the older ones.
